Fascinating concept! An almost duplicate Earth from another universe suddenly appears along our Earth's orbit. That Earth is controlled by an artificial intelligence, but some inhabitants there aren't fond of the power it wields. That AI makes a decision that endangers both worlds, and scientists from both worlds must work together to avert the catastrophe.
I really enjoyed Dark Nights. The concepts and plot were new to me and kept me reading to see how things would play out and be resolved.
