Review: Poo the Card Game

I had the opportunity to play Poo the card game with my kids. First, here's a description of the game from the publisher:
It's been a tough day in the monkey cage and something in the food tonight wasn't quite right. In the monkey world, there's only one thing that can be done about it - fling poo! It doesn't matter who started it in this fast and furious game of monkey see, monkey doo. It only matters who has what it takes to be king of the cage! (The illustrations are cute and cartoony, not gross, and all puns are intended.)
As noted, the illustrations are cute, not gross - monkeys in various mischievous poses. There's no Poo pictured on the game cards. The activities on many cards, however, include throwing Poo of various... types at the other players, protecting yourself from getting it on you, deflecting it onto other players, or cleaning yourself of it. The game rules are available free at the Poo website. Pictures here are also from that website.

While the game was fun to play with my kids, the point of the game is rather disturbing and gross - though to kids under the age of 12 that probably won't detract from the fun. My kids had a blast. I, however, just thought it was in poor taste.

To sum up: Kids will love it! Adults might find it gross.

Poo was provided to me by Sandstorm Productions LLC and WildFire LLC for review.
